Lips Without Lipstick Is Like Cake Without Frosting

Mwah! Today's outfit was all about the lipstick - from makeup to the outfit itself. Since summer is ending it's a bright idea to wear as much color and white as you can while the sun is out and the leaves are still green. So, I did a double whammy and I chose to wear my Rebellious One lipstick shirt that actually looks quite girly and rebellious to me. This cool shirt was inspired by my favorite lipstick, Party Proof by ModelCo.!

I paired this tank with my Abercrombie & Fitch tight fitting jeggings and my indefinitely loved black Prada belt. Whenever I'm wearing jeans you can pretty much assume that I'll be wearing this belt as well. It's black, fits, and its Prada, so ya know, why not?

Yay, shoes! I was so excited when I found these Adrienne Vittadini zipper black heel booties at TJ Maxx. Forgive me sounding like a commercial here, but TJ Maxx holds the best gems of designer fashion inside, for a lovely cost. There isn't any time that you can just go in there and get one thing, I always come out with a few bags if you catch my drift.

To hold all my accessories and play on the zipper theme of my shoes, I incorporated my Kate Spade black zip clutch / bag into my outfit. I love this clutch so much because it has so much space for my purse hoarding tendencies. Plus, the silver chain that you can keep tucked in the purse, or use it as a shoulder strap is very tough looking to me. It's almost like grunge meets rebellious New York street style ... if that makes any sense?

Alright, time for the bling. And I'm talking major bling for this outfit. Look at this rock! This sparkling ring from Kate Spade was the perfect pop of sparkle for my hands. Moving up the arm I decided to add a House Of Harlow 1960 rhinestone wrap bracelet that gave the taste of toughness mixed with the all important sparkle. Plus, the bracelet is called the karma wrap and I'm all about believing in karma. Finally we end the jewelry portion of the outfit with my simple yet statement making Michael Kors silver hoops. Hoops are a jewelry collection must have, and Michael Kors hoops are an even bigger must have.

This purse not only held all my little must have purse essentials, but also held my favorite lipstick! This lovely red color comes from ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick theme. Not only are the colors to die for, but the lipstick itself doesn't dry on your lips after you've had it on for awhile. Speaking of having it on for awhile, it's incredibly long lasting. I always hate when lipsticks disappear after a short while because it makes your face look lost...you know what I mean? Anyways, I highly recommend!

Fancy Friday

Happy Friday, everyone! I decided to channel my inner edgy Iggy Azalea and make this a fancy Friday. Although I was trying to channel Iggy, this outfit almost looks Avril Lavigne-esque once I added the sparkling tiara on my head - but if you're going to be fancy you might as well go all out, right?

My fancy shirt comes from Abercrombie & Fitch, and honestly I'm still in complete excitement that they introduced their new black and white line instead of going along and having only navy as the darkest color for their clothing. I'm incredibly curious for all the wonderful new clothes to come out in some non-Abercrombie like colors.

Speaking of Abercrombie, I'm sporting my trusty jean jeggings from Abercrombie & Fitch itself. Practically all my jeans are from Abercrombie and I don't regret any of them one bit. They're comfortable, an essential, fitting, and make your booty pop. Yep, I know we all want those pair of jeans that you can sashay away in uber confidence.

Traveling down to my favorite part of the outfit is of course - the shoes! These fierce cheetah printed flats come from the one and only Steve Madden. This flats are super comfortable and I was falling head over toes for the pointed toe of the shoe. I felt like the fashionable city girl walking around in these, all I need was to be dropped into New York or London and I think I would fit it pretty well.

Time for the jewels! I didn't want to give too much sparkle to this outfit since I was trying to go all rough and tough, and I think my attitude came across well with this spike necklace I got from The Shopping Bag. This statement necklace screams don't mess with me. Rawr!

Even though I said I didn't want to add too much sparkle, every outfit needs some - so here comes the bracelets. My lovely watch is from Michael Kors which I wear everyday with every outfit. I believe everyone should have a watch at some point in their life because it's a piece of jewelry that is useful, extraordinarily pretty, and is timeless. Ha! ... My rhinestone and beaded drawstring bracelet comes from The Shopping Bag. I've had this bracelet for awhile and it seems to always have a place on my wrist with every outfit I'm wearing. I decided to keep up the stack of bracelets with my Ralph Lauren silver beaded bracelet that's simple and shiny. My last bracelet comes from Abercrombie and carries on the tradition of their signature navy color.

To add a little bit of shine to the center of my outfit I slipped on my black Prada belt that I can and will never live without. It's a perfect belt to give that t-shirt and jeans look a drop of designer.

I felt a bit adventurous with my nail color, and decided it would be nice to have a pop of color to this dark daring outfit, so I put a couple coats of Mini Kitten Heels by Ruby Wing on my nails. First off, I love the name of this nail polish, and of course I love the color. The bottle says that the hot pink you see in the bottle is what your nails will be indoors, and outdoors they'll be red. How cool!

I hope your weekend goes flawlessly and you decided to be a little fierce and fancy along with me today.

Back To School Backpack Essentials

Back to School Backpack Essentials

Dun dun dun....yep, school season has arrived, my friends. Just because we don't have the hot summer days to lounge and be fabulous, doesn't mean we can't show off our cute and fashionable personas through our school essentials. In today's post I'll be unzipping my book bag and letting you see what this fashionista has got to have on her throughout the long strenuous school days ahead.

First things first! My book bag. Usually I'm not crazy over the generic shoulder strap book bags and like to spice it up once in awhile. What could be a tote to carry around with you all time can easily double as a book bag for me. That's why I use the Kate Spade 'Play Hooky' tote (#5) that I'm crazy over right now. It's the perfect ironic phrase for the school setting, dontcha think?

 Earphone Splitters and Organizers

I'm all for a scrumptious donut now and then, and have come to find out my obsession with the doughy pieces of heaven have moved to somewhere else than food...my music. These cute multi colored donuts are actually earphone organizers (#6) so you don't have to go through the hassle of untangling your earphones during your day. You can get these cuties on sites like Amazon and more.
Cute + Efficient = Perfection

Another handy dandy essential to have on you for your earphones is Belkin's earphone splitter (#3). Nothing's worse than the awkward silence that ensues after you play a song or video too loud and end up playing it for the whole room instead of your group of friends. So here's the solution, everyone just plugs their earphones in (helps if your friend has dirty earphones...ew) and you can all happily enjoy turning the volume as loud as you want.

 Touch Up Your Look Essentials

3. Gym. It's a fashionista's worst enemy weaved into your schedule everyday. Sweaty and smelly don't mix with the cute outfit you've got on and does the school really think you're going to shower there? Don't sweat it (ha!). Keep your smell to yourself and simply spritz on fresh's perfume (#2). This perfume is literally the best I've ever smelled when I want something simple and not overpowering. Imagine a warm spring day walking through flowers and then coming home to warm laundry...it just smells like a fresh hug in a bottle. When I'm at school I like to use the rollerball and roll it behind my ears and on my wrists.

4. Gym's over and it's after lunch. The food is gone...but the taste in your mouth isn't. Make sure you keep some kind of pack of mints or gum in your backpack at all costs. I love using Victoria's Secret peppermints (#4) because they get the job done and I'm a sucker for pretty packaging. it's happy bunny Mints are a great one too. The packaging is an extra bonus because it can silently let your friend know that they should maybe have a mint or two too. You can find both of these in stores near you!

5. But wait! The inside of my mouth is fresh, but my lips are awfully dry. I'm a huge fan of Eos lip balms (#8). Yet again the packaging is Tumblr trendy and they make my lips feel silky. My favorite is the sweet mint, just like the color the smell is minty too - making everything extra fresh.

6. My last touch up look essential is definitely Beauty Fixation Make Up Remover swabs (#1). These are incredibly useful for when your eyeliner smudges and spit quite doesn't do the trick. All you do is take a swab, snap one end, and remove any make up flaws with the now saturated end of the swab. I personally haven't used these to rid my entire eye of it's make up, but find they're a brilliant tool for touch ups. I first tried mine from Birchbox in their monthly box - but they sell them on their website for only five dollars! Um, yes please!

Taking Notes

7. My go to writing utensil when taking notes is usually just a regular old mechanical pencil, but once in awhile I like to jazz things up a bit. These quirky saying pencils are great to show off your personality. I found mine in a shop on Etsy, (#7) but I'm sure you could find these anywhere online with all different kinds of sayings that portray your quirkiness. Another great writing utensil to use is Kate Spade's pencil set and ink pen set

8. I've never used this next essential at school necessarily, but it is a lifesaver when you're getting your homework done. Saving the trees is just an added bonus that comes along with the Boogie Board LCD Writing Tablet (#9)from The Shopping Bag. It's pretty much a digital whiteboard that you can clear with a click of a button. Write friends messages with it, solve out those tough equations, or keep it at home for your to-do lists.

Hopefully your school year goes well and you strut down those hallways with all these extraordinary essentials and a boat load of confidence! Let me know what is a must have in your backpack by commenting below or tweet me @SInsideMyCloset
