Step Inside My Closet - Black And Blue - Red Valentino, Adrienne Vittadini, The Shopping Bag, leather dress, biker jacket,
Sometimes, you just gotta feel like a bad ass. Or dress like one too. This super edgy (and super cute) leather jacket dress by Red Valentino makes you feel like you can take on anything or anyone. It brings on a layer of confidence. You know the kind that when you put on a dress, formal or informal, that feeling it gives you? Whether it's a glittering chiffon gown that makes you feel like royalty, or a leather dress like this one that makes you feel unstoppable - the clothes you where aide in how you feel. And usually, it results in confidence. ...Also just saying and knowing that you're wearing Valentino can definitely add a triple dose of confidence.

Something that also sets the mood for your day? Shoes. I am all for heels, they make me feel tall and powerful. These zipper booties by Adrienne Vittadini are to die for. I love the scuba material that panels the sides of the shoes, and the simple statement zipper on the front went perfectly with the detailed zipper work on this dress.

Speaking of statements...The Shopping Bag is always my go to for statement jewelry - and now statement clutches! I went insane when I saw this Biker Jacket Clutch hit their new arrivals page. I love how the blue adds a pop of color to this outfit, and keeps the toughness. Also tough? Statement rings. This totally glittering rhinestone statement ring from The Shopping Bag is another statement piece that made this outfit complete!

Queen City Style

Queen City Style by Step Inside My Closet - Cincinnati Ohio, fashion, summer fashion, summer outfit, blogger, fashion blogger, ohio blogger, ohio fashion blogger, The Shopping Bag, Abercrombie & Fitch, Adrienne Vittadini, Kate Spade, TJ Maxx

Street style has always held an high interest for me. I love seeing the endless combinations of pieces that fellow fashionistas put together as they walk the streets of their home city. The streets for my style are in the Queen City - Cincinnati! Cincinnati is my favorite part of my home state of Ohio. My favorite location is the traditional black fountain that most people flock to when they come.

This summer has been incredibly hot (and rainy!) so far, so I instantly gravitated towards wearing this lovely flowy patterned tank that I snagged from TJ Maxx. I'm not shy admitting that I discover the best cost saving finds for TJ's. From shoes to tops like this, I always make sure to stop in there from time to time to see what I can get my hands on! Speaking of shoes...I also got these Adrienne Vittadini black zipper shoes from TJ Maxx. They are so comfortable and so minimalistic chic. If you know me well, you know that I can't resist a good heel!

I'm one of those people who love to wear black. I don't normally consider myself a gloomy person, but wearing black just seems to classic and fashionable. That's why I threw on these Abercrombie & Fitch jeans. Also from Abercrombie, is this vintage jean jacket just in case that the rain clouds swooped in again. They didn't...it was a sweltering hot and humid day!

I kept my accessories simple and statement making with this gorgeous black necklace from The Shopping Bag. It's so intricate and glossy. It tied the whole look together! I know I will definitely be back in the Queen City for my road trip this summer with The Shopping Bag! I will be able to show you all the hidden gems of the city while rocking a limited edition look from The Shopping Bag! You can check out previous road trip bloggers' looks on The Shopping Bag's website!

Last, but not least, is my trusty black Kate Spade bag that can double as a shoulder bag or handbag. I take this bag everywhere with me! It's so easy to carry when traveling, and looks so fabulous with any look!

Lips Without Lipstick Is Like Cake Without Frosting

Mwah! Today's outfit was all about the lipstick - from makeup to the outfit itself. Since summer is ending it's a bright idea to wear as much color and white as you can while the sun is out and the leaves are still green. So, I did a double whammy and I chose to wear my Rebellious One lipstick shirt that actually looks quite girly and rebellious to me. This cool shirt was inspired by my favorite lipstick, Party Proof by ModelCo.!

I paired this tank with my Abercrombie & Fitch tight fitting jeggings and my indefinitely loved black Prada belt. Whenever I'm wearing jeans you can pretty much assume that I'll be wearing this belt as well. It's black, fits, and its Prada, so ya know, why not?

Yay, shoes! I was so excited when I found these Adrienne Vittadini zipper black heel booties at TJ Maxx. Forgive me sounding like a commercial here, but TJ Maxx holds the best gems of designer fashion inside, for a lovely cost. There isn't any time that you can just go in there and get one thing, I always come out with a few bags if you catch my drift.

To hold all my accessories and play on the zipper theme of my shoes, I incorporated my Kate Spade black zip clutch / bag into my outfit. I love this clutch so much because it has so much space for my purse hoarding tendencies. Plus, the silver chain that you can keep tucked in the purse, or use it as a shoulder strap is very tough looking to me. It's almost like grunge meets rebellious New York street style ... if that makes any sense?

Alright, time for the bling. And I'm talking major bling for this outfit. Look at this rock! This sparkling ring from Kate Spade was the perfect pop of sparkle for my hands. Moving up the arm I decided to add a House Of Harlow 1960 rhinestone wrap bracelet that gave the taste of toughness mixed with the all important sparkle. Plus, the bracelet is called the karma wrap and I'm all about believing in karma. Finally we end the jewelry portion of the outfit with my simple yet statement making Michael Kors silver hoops. Hoops are a jewelry collection must have, and Michael Kors hoops are an even bigger must have.

This purse not only held all my little must have purse essentials, but also held my favorite lipstick! This lovely red color comes from ModelCo Party Proof Lipstick theme. Not only are the colors to die for, but the lipstick itself doesn't dry on your lips after you've had it on for awhile. Speaking of having it on for awhile, it's incredibly long lasting. I always hate when lipsticks disappear after a short while because it makes your face look lost...you know what I mean? Anyways, I highly recommend!
