Picasso In The Park

Step Inside My Closet Picasso in the Park - Featuring The Shopping Bag and BCBGMAXAZRIA - outfit post, art post, outfit inspiration, artsy outfit, park, summer outfit, summer cocktail dress, abstract outfit post
Welcome to summer, everyone! While it's not totally officially summer yet, the sun is shining and vibrant colors are making their debuts in a lot of my outfits. While I'm not enveloped in the world of art (I can barely draw a stick figure correctly...), I do enjoy looking at the beauty of some paintings. I wanted to take this appreciation of art and mesh it with the start of summer to create an artistic vibrant outfit.

Shopping is my cardio, so while I was doing a weekend of boutique hunting, I came across this gem of a dress! I love all the colors and how they look like careless but purposeful paint strokes. I love open back dresses and tops as well, especially as the weather begins to get hotter and hotter. An open back gives dresses a lot of charisma. It's sort of like business in the front and party in the back!

My accessories for this outfit is what really played up the dress. If you've kept up with all of my outfit posts then you would know that I am completely obsessed with The Shopping Bag's jewelry and well, everything. All of my accessories in this outfit come from The Shopping Bag. Sometimes statement necklaces just don't work for some looks, so for this dress I decided to make a statement with my ring and earrings. This Coral Stone ring is perfect for summer, it looks like it just washed up on the beach! To match the ring I put on these beautiful earrings from The Shopping Bag which instantly make you feel so glamorous and elegant when you put them on with any outfit!

This. Clutch. Is. Amazing.
I am so obsessed with this clutch that I have been basically talking about it for a week straight, along with posting a million pictures of it on my Snapchat story (@SInsideMyCloset). The flirty winking face is so trendy right now and gave this look a little quirkiness to lighten up the serious and glam mood. The clutch could be a dead ringer for a Chiara Ferragni pair of shoes or top. The thing that makes this clutch better than that? The price. As much as I love Chiara's collection, most of us don't have the luxury to drop over a hundred dollars for a top or pair of sparkly flats (as much as my heart tempts me...). The Shopping Bag's Winking Eye Clutch is only $38! That's seriously the best look for less!

Shoes time! At first site to me, these looked like Valentino pumps without the Valentino price! These BCBG Paris Darron pumps didn't take away from the dress, but added it's own element of sophisticated edginess. Love!

Glam Guidance

Whether it's for a quick errand or a fabulous night out, the one thing that always happens before I head out the door is my beauty routine. Most of the time I like to keep my look polished and simple for a daytime look - no crazy colors here - but if it's a night out then you know that I will be getting full on glamorous when it comes to the beauty department. Here are some of my favorite products, tips, and tricks to keep you glam all day and into the night!

The "All Natural" Look

I am among the majority of people who almost feel naked when leaving the house without just a touch of make up on my face. For a simple errand or a quick bite to eat, I gravitate towards this go-to incredibly fast make up routine!

1: Starting with my favorite foundation, bareMinerals Bare Skin, I use just 3-4 four drops for my entire face for coverage. I'm not exaggerating when I say that a little goes a very long way with this foundation. When first using it you may think that only 4 drops for a maximum is ridiculous, but for my skin at least, this is just enough coverage for nothing to get too cakey.

2: Using the new Target exclusive Pacifica Power Of Love Coconut Infused Mineral Eye Shadow Palette, I use the color Soul for my whole eyelid. This soft color gives just a touch of coverage for your eyes so they don't go completely untouched, plus the since the eyeshadow is coconut infused, it's a little bit creamy so it's easier to apply.

3: Using the Dior waterproof eyeliner pencil in black I like to tightline my eyes. I learned through Ingrid Nilsen (my Youtube Beauty role model!), about tight lining and have been using it ever since. Tightlining your upper eyelid gives the illusion of thicker eyelashes and gives more definition to your eyes without applying too much eyeliner. To tightline, lift your upper eyelid and trace your inner lash line. Voila! Thicker lashes. After tightlining I like to use my Benefit Roller Lash Mascara to give great length to my lashes. If you want to give a fuller rather than longer look, I suggest Pacifica's Stellar Gaze mascara in Supernova. The thick brush makes for thick lashes!

4: The last step to this almost natural look is a bit of color for your lips and cheeks. I like applying Tarte's dollface blush lightly to my cheeks. Apply just enough so you have light rosy cheeks. For lips, I use my Maybelline gloss in color The Elixir (095) which gives a light glimmer to your lips.

The "Polished" Look
Step Inside My Closet - Glam Guidance featuring bareMinerals, Bella Pierre, Benefit, Dior, Kat Von D, Maybelline, Pacifica Beauty, Tarte, Target makeup, makeup tutorials
This look I use is for a casual day out. Honestly, this is the look you'll see me in almost everyday because it's so easy and simple - and because I've gotten the whole process down to a science. This look incorporates all of the products and steps above, with just a few more products and steps incorporated!

1: After foundation is appliqued, I lightly swipe on probably the most reliable bronzer out there, Hoola by Benefit, to give depth and more appearance to my cheek bones. Tarte dollface blush is applied and then as a little glittery touch and finish, I apply the Hourglass ambient lighting powder in Mood Light all over my face lightly. It gives an illuminating look to your face and has captured my heart.

2: For eyes all I change is the color to Crush from my Pacifica coconut eyeshadow palette. This color gives a little bit more depth to your eyes as we increase in the dramatics of each look. Tightline your eyes and apply mascara. For a light upper eyelid lining, I use the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. This goes on so smooth and I usually can get a perfect line with one swipe...what every girl dreams of, am I right, ladies? For my lower waterline I use the Dior waterproof eyeliner which I use just to make my eyes pop even more! I keep my lashes laced with Benefit's Roller Lash!

3: For lips, I am in love this lipstick in color Burlesque from Bella Pierre. It's the perfect day time pop for the warm weather and gives your look a pleasant and girly appearance!

The "Glam" Gal
Step Inside My Closet - Glam Guidance featuring bareMinerals, Bella Pierre, Benefit, Dior, Kat Von D, Maybelline, Pacifica Beauty, Tarte, Target makeup, makeup tutorials
1: Going off all the foundation methods seen above, nothing is changed here except swapping out Tarte's blush for Bella Pierre's. This is so handy because this can actually double as a lip color as well!

2: For eyes I like to make the classic smokey effect with colors Falling Star and Luna on my eyelids. Smokey eyes are the first thing I always think of when someone mentions a glam or exciting look. It gives so much personality and mystery to the eyes, and is just so fashionable! I do a small cat eye with the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. Don't forget the coat of mascara!

3: For lips I can go down to routes. I sometimes gravitate to a light lip and let my eyes have the spotlight, while other times I like to deepen my shade of Burlesque from Bella Pierre and add a coat of Maybelline's The Elixir gloss to give them a shiny pink pop!

After all the make up that is put on my face, I wipe it all off with Pacifica's coconut water cleansing wipes. Just two wipes can get all my make up off!

Bringing Glam To The Golden Arches

Step Inside My Closet - McDonalds, fries, ice cream, fashion, outfit ideas, Madison and Berkeley, Soludos, The Shopping Bag, fries shoes, eat salad and be sad, outfit post
Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Summer is around the corner and road trips have been planned. To me, stopping at a McDonald's is pretty much an expected stop on any road trip. Seeing those famous golden arches in the distance are a sign of familiarity and scrumptious fries! I'm a bit of a health nut, so I try to keep my meals healthy regardless of where I am. Now and then though...I like to ditch the salads, and today was one of those days

This tank from Madison & Berkeley was perfect for the mood I was in and for where I was grabbing a quick bite to eat! My closet is full of these type of quirky tops and tanks from Madison & Berkeley because they mimic my personality and sort of dry sense of humor! Not to mention they are insanely adorable! This tank made me eat my salad...but I wasn't sad with the golden fries and creamy ice cream cone!

Paired with my go-to pair of skinny jeans, I am smitten with the flats on my feet! These Burger and Fry flats from Soludos completely captured my heart. Although I say that about every pair of shoes, these cotton flats made me giggle and were extremely comfortable. I love that the graphic part of t-shirts are now making their way onto shoes. Cute and very quirky.

I decided to spice things up with my jewelry, because every outfit needs some sparkle! All my accessories today came from The Shopping Bag. I'm constantly shopping their new arrivals and was so happy to find these tough minimalist pieces to pair with this outfit. The knuckle ring was something that I got on a whim. I wasn't into the idea of a knuckle ring at first (I mean, isn't it just going to slide off?) but once I got this X Knuckle Ring one from The Shopping Bag my whole aspect on the piece changed. This tough necklace shows off how well glitzy and tough looks intermingle with each other. Lastly, my bracelets gave a bit of rhinestone sparkle with this Vanessa Rhinestone Bangle and minimalistic magic with the Spike Hinge Bangle

I'm one of those people who are a little bit OCD with whether all of their jewelry and accessories are either gold or silver, never mixed. This Studded Glossy Structure Bag from The Shopping Bag had all the things I was looking for. I adore black bags! They literally can go with any outfit that you have on. This bag is just no ordinary bag, because the gold detailing brings it to life, which is what brought me to purchase this piece!

Let me know what you swap your salad out for in the comments below, or tweet me @SInsideMyCloset
