App Of The Month: Pump Up

Happy July, everyone! So, it's a little late in the season to just be getting your bikini body - but that doesn't mean it's too late to begin a healthy lifestyle.

I'm obsessed with all aspects of fitness to be honest, whether it's nutrition side of the spectrum or the hardcore working out. One thing I haven't mastered yet though is keeping motivated to workout out each day.

That's where PumpUp comes in. It's a free app that supplies you with motivating community, workouts that are customized to what supplies you have at your fingertips. You can set how long you want to workout, what body part, and much more. Pair this app with clean eating and I'll be damned if we don't have six packs by next summer.

What's your habit of keeping healthy? Let me know below or on any other of those sassy little social media sites.

Oh yeah! And once you get your PumpUp account follow me on there @StepInsideMyCloset so we can be fitness buddies!

Summer Breeze

The summer breeze is rolling in along with summer season clothing! That means shorts, crop tops, flip flops...everything that I longed for during this long winter.

This striped crop top from The Shopping Bag fit the bill for the perfect start to summer casual outfit for me. I liked how the sleeves were longer so it didn't compete with the main cropped part.

Although jean shorts are usually my go to bottom for outfits like this, I decided to change it up with these grey shorts from Abercrombie & Fitch. To jazz the shorts up a bit I slipped on my braided leather belt also from the always lovely Abercrombie.

And now down to a simple pair of silver Ann Taylor Loft sandals that were the perfect comfort for walking around on such a nice summer day.

I kept my jewelry simple by layering two gold necklaces from The Shopping Bag. A simple arrow and heart, and a thin gold minimalist necklace was a nice added touch for this look. I love this jewelry so much that a giveaway might just be popping up soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

The Dont's Of Summer Fashion

I've given my fair share of major don'ts for spring fashion, but now that summer has come into full effect...so have some summer fashion don'ts. From head to toe, beauty and fashion, it's time to indulge in the unglamorous sights that sneak out into public.

1. Daring To Show Your Delicates

I see London, I see France, I don't want to see your underpants! Backless dresses, tank tops, white clothing, and so much more skin start coming out to play during the summer time heat - but lets keep our undies to ourselves, yes? No matter how pretty, patterned, or bright your panties maybe, I'd rather not see what's giving you a wedgie. If you're wearing daring short shorts or even cute white shorts or skirt, turn the color volume down and keep with the basic nude or white color tones.

...but lets not forget about the upstairs. It's like a fashion horror film playing out before my eyes when I see girls wearing backless tanks or dresses...and decide to leave their bra in open view for the world to see. If nobody wants to catch a glimpse of a side-boob, no one wants to see what's covering it up either. There are millions of strapless, backless, you name it, bras out there that you can wear when your go-to bra isn't doing you justice.

2. Hair...down there?

It's time for a trim...downstairs. This don't was hard to find an example of...and I think that's because everyone pretty much agrees about it. There is no way of sugar coating this, no one wants to see whispys coming out of your bikini bottoms. Pickin' up what I'm puttin' down? Good. Trim it up, wax it off, frankly, I don't care as long as it's not in my view. That itsy bitsy teenie weenie whatever bikini is called itsby bitsy for a teenie weenie reason - it's not going to cover those overgrown wild ones trying to catch a glimpse of the summer sun.

3. Leave the buns in the bread basket
So we've talked about not showing your undies, but obviously people don't know the difference between shorts and wearing denim underwear. If your shorts are short enough to show that crescent moon of your butt cheek, it's time to invest in another pair. Do what you want with the cheeky look on the beach where you're trying to get your tan on, but out in public is not the place to see how little fabric you can get away with. Leave those baker buns and crescent rolls in the bread basket where they rightfully belong.

4. And this little piggy was a hot mess

I was glad that my toes got to see the light of day after being stuffed into boot after boot this winter, but that was before I saw the chipped winter polished toes squishing around in summer flip flops. I can understand chipped nails, whether it's a habit you can't kick or a rough day, but toe nails? It's bad enough seeing toes hanging over the edge of shoes, but to see a fully painted piggy besides a hot mess of a toe nail is nothing to prance around in the public eye.

Have a few don'ts that you want to rid the public of this summer? Instagram it, Tweet it, Facebook it, Pinterest it, whatever you like and tag me so I can see! Happy summer!

App Of The Month: Duolingo

Bonjour mes beaux amis, Hello my beautiful friends! I can't believe June has finally graced us with it's presence! I'm unbelievably excited for summer and cannot wait to show you this month's favorite app. Like always it's free, which is surprising since it literally teaches you a whole foreign language just there on your device. Yep, no going out and buying a whole foreign language lesson that you probably won't remember, Duolingo offers courses in a variety of different languages for free.

I decided to go with French since I already attain a little background knowledge on the language, and plus to me French is a very pretty language and used a lot in fashion - so why not become fashion fluent in two languages? Duolingo goes step by step teaching you the basics of the language first and then down to the nitty gritty. You can set goals for yourself to measure your success and duel against others to see who's come farther in their fluency.
So go download your language buddy and then tell me what language you decided to take up.

Au revoir!

Inspirations of Audrey

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others. For beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness, and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone." - Audrey Hepburn

I begin this post with a quote from the impeccable Audrey Hepburn as I let her Breakfast At Tiffany's style guide me in this outfit. I would usually start with speaking about the clothing of my outfit, but honestly the shoes took center stage in this one. All a girl dreams about is that one pair of heels. You know the one - with the red bottoms? Ah yes, gracing my feet are a sleek pair of black Christian Louboutins. Each step I took in these was only filled with confidence and pure bliss.

To keep everything else minimal as to focus on the shoes, I found that this black dress from Le Tote was the perfect fit. Le Tote is literally a box full of clothes and jewelry arriving at your doorstep every month. Keep what you want, send back what you don't. Simple as that.

Instead of a donut bag as in Breakfast At Tiffany's, I hold a Kate Spade black clutch. This is very spacious, zipping at the top and opening in the middle. Plus, inside is a silver chain incase you decide you want a shoulder bag. Lovely.

How could I not slip on some Tiffany & Co. black sunglasses for this outfit? Not only does the designer name the look I was going for, but the rhinestones on the sides of the shades gave the perfect amount of sparkle that every outfit needs.

What fashion icon do you dream of channeling in your next outfit?

A Night Colored Rosé

What better way to spend a formal spring night dance than with a dress colored rosé? Simple and light, this spring time spirited Reem Acra gown had me feeling like a complete princess all night. To make this dress even more lovely and unique, I decided to add a precious rhinestone ribbon belt around my waist to give this princess some sparkle. The way the bow in the back seamlessly trailed down the back along with the tule as I walked made each step even more elegant. My Badgley Mischka Taylar Embellished Evening Shoes hidden underneath all the glamour had just the perfect fit and height to make the dress skim the dance floor.

Sparkling under the lights was my Tom Binns crystal bib necklace that made my heart skip a beat at first sight. I love necklaces that are on the heavier side since they keep themselves in place for the whole night. Last worn in my Little Black Dress post, these timeless teardrop Ciner earrings were the perfect drop of crystal to go with the necklace. Speaking of the perfect type of crystal, my Courtney Lee ring was a delightful splash of sparkle to show off while holding my blush Serpui Marie clutch. The clutch was the perfect side to hold all the girly essentials for touch ups throughout the night.

I decided to go with a simple bun for my hair, but added a bit more sparkle (I couldn't resist!) with The Shopping Bag's Crystal Bow Brooch. I find some look over pins and brooches to put in hair, when actually I think they're much easier to slip in to whatever lovely 'do you've put your hair in.

The fun of the night and the sparkle of the whole outfit left me tickled...rosé.

App Of The Month: Mani Diaries

Happy May everyone! Can you believe spring is here and in a few weeks summer will begin? Luckily that means that new vibrant bright colors are coming out to play, not only for outfits, but for your nails as well. Whenever I get super motivated to do my nails I'm always left with the feeling of dissatisfaction when I realize I have no idea what creative designs I can swipe on. So I went hunting for nail ideas...and ta da! I came across the app Mani Diaries, chock full of all the inspiration and nail tips at my finger tips. You can admire others nail designs, 'keep' nail ideas you'll need to remember, and even search for what your nail inspiration has to revolve around. But the best part is that after you've skillfully applied your mani / pedi (even if you went to the salon!) you can post a pic for others to ooo and awe over.

I highly suggest you get this free app and follow me so I can check out all your new nail designs...but only after you mani is dry of course!

Urban Glam

Spring is popping up colorfully and sparkling just like my new Wildfox Couture chandelier light blue tee. Light and flowy, the tee was perfect for a day that gave a glimpse into the warm weather ahead. Chandeliers are my favorite kind of room decor. Representing crystals, delicacy, and girliness, it's a cute graphic put on top of the pretty light blue color.

Not only does Abercrombie represent in the denim area, but my favorite jewelry too. This green, blue and white rhinestone necklace picked up the sparkle that a chandelier comes with. I love the way that instead of a chain, the necklace is tied with a pretty grey bow.

My other favorite I have is stacking up bracelets. Ralph Lauren supplied my silver ball bracelet and Style Yourself In Chloe + Isabel created this lovely light blue and gold bracelet. Love!

When I think of Skechers I see the light up tennis shoes that the cool little kids on the block used to wear - but surprisingly they make some pretty cute tan wedges. They're obviously incredibly comfortable to walk in and show a little decoration with two tan tassels on the top.

I hope spring is bringing you some happy surprises. What spring pieces are you excited to yank out from the back of the closet soon?
