Monthly Goodies - Part 2

This month I was delighted to see my mailbox holding a new monthly goodies box! This month's box is all about your nails, whether it's a mani or a pedi, Square Hue monthly box polishes will make your nails look totally fabulous. No fillers, no trial sizes, just pure full sized monthly trendsetting nail colors delivered promptly at your doorstep each month. SquareHue is special for not only the brilliant colors that they send out, but the cleverly designed nail polish bottles. Blank sides easily help you pick the color you are looking for instead of being surprised at the completely different nail color that comes out of a bottle. The top of the bottle was even designed to show you maximum color so you can see each color clearly when your bottles are organized. All the polishes are high shine and my favorite colors. For only $14.99 a month you're getting in season, fashion forward, full sized nail polishes to mix and match with your outfits and personality. Yeah, I know, it's pretty amazing.

But it doesn't just stop there. A portion of your monthly subscription payment is donated to organizations automatically by SquareHue. Change your nails, change the world.

This month made me feel like a rich kid of Beverly Hills with the Beverly Hills collection arriving in my mailbox. The colors included a pretty Wilshire Boulevard blue, a sparkly Rodeo Drive glitter, and dark pretty Canon Drive pink. Love!

I highly suggest you sign up now because Hue is sending out their The Passport Collection: Sydney, Australia nail colors soon!

Let me know if you sign up and of course tell me about a favorite monthly box that you stalk the mailman for!

Fancy Friday

Happy Friday, everyone! I decided to channel my inner edgy Iggy Azalea and make this a fancy Friday. Although I was trying to channel Iggy, this outfit almost looks Avril Lavigne-esque once I added the sparkling tiara on my head - but if you're going to be fancy you might as well go all out, right?

My fancy shirt comes from Abercrombie & Fitch, and honestly I'm still in complete excitement that they introduced their new black and white line instead of going along and having only navy as the darkest color for their clothing. I'm incredibly curious for all the wonderful new clothes to come out in some non-Abercrombie like colors.

Speaking of Abercrombie, I'm sporting my trusty jean jeggings from Abercrombie & Fitch itself. Practically all my jeans are from Abercrombie and I don't regret any of them one bit. They're comfortable, an essential, fitting, and make your booty pop. Yep, I know we all want those pair of jeans that you can sashay away in uber confidence.

Traveling down to my favorite part of the outfit is of course - the shoes! These fierce cheetah printed flats come from the one and only Steve Madden. This flats are super comfortable and I was falling head over toes for the pointed toe of the shoe. I felt like the fashionable city girl walking around in these, all I need was to be dropped into New York or London and I think I would fit it pretty well.

Time for the jewels! I didn't want to give too much sparkle to this outfit since I was trying to go all rough and tough, and I think my attitude came across well with this spike necklace I got from The Shopping Bag. This statement necklace screams don't mess with me. Rawr!

Even though I said I didn't want to add too much sparkle, every outfit needs some - so here comes the bracelets. My lovely watch is from Michael Kors which I wear everyday with every outfit. I believe everyone should have a watch at some point in their life because it's a piece of jewelry that is useful, extraordinarily pretty, and is timeless. Ha! ... My rhinestone and beaded drawstring bracelet comes from The Shopping Bag. I've had this bracelet for awhile and it seems to always have a place on my wrist with every outfit I'm wearing. I decided to keep up the stack of bracelets with my Ralph Lauren silver beaded bracelet that's simple and shiny. My last bracelet comes from Abercrombie and carries on the tradition of their signature navy color.

To add a little bit of shine to the center of my outfit I slipped on my black Prada belt that I can and will never live without. It's a perfect belt to give that t-shirt and jeans look a drop of designer.

I felt a bit adventurous with my nail color, and decided it would be nice to have a pop of color to this dark daring outfit, so I put a couple coats of Mini Kitten Heels by Ruby Wing on my nails. First off, I love the name of this nail polish, and of course I love the color. The bottle says that the hot pink you see in the bottle is what your nails will be indoors, and outdoors they'll be red. How cool!

I hope your weekend goes flawlessly and you decided to be a little fierce and fancy along with me today.

Back To School Backpack Essentials

Back to School Backpack Essentials
Dun dun dun....yep, school season has arrived, my friends. Just because we don't have the hot summer days to lounge and be fabulous, doesn't mean we can't show off our cute and fashionable personas through our school essentials. In today's post I'll be unzipping my book bag and letting you see what this fashionista has got to have on her throughout the long strenuous school days ahead.

First things first! My book bag. Usually I'm not crazy over the generic shoulder strap book bags and like to spice it up once in awhile. What could be a tote to carry around with you all time can easily double as a book bag for me. That's why I use the Kate Spade 'Play Hooky' tote (#5) that I'm crazy over right now. It's the perfect ironic phrase for the school setting, dontcha think?

 Earphone Splitters and Organizers

I'm all for a scrumptious donut now and then, and have come to find out my obsession with the doughy pieces of heaven have moved to somewhere else than music. These cute multi colored donuts are actually earphone organizers (#6) so you don't have to go through the hassle of untangling your earphones during your day. You can get these cuties on sites like Amazon and more.
Cute + Efficient = Perfection

Another handy dandy essential to have on you for your earphones is Belkin's earphone splitter (#3). Nothing's worse than the awkward silence that ensues after you play a song or video too loud and end up playing it for the whole room instead of your group of friends. So here's the solution, everyone just plugs their earphones in (helps if your friend has dirty earphones...ew) and you can all happily enjoy turning the volume as loud as you want.

 Touch Up Your Look Essentials

3. Gym. It's a fashionista's worst enemy weaved into your schedule everyday. Sweaty and smelly don't mix with the cute outfit you've got on and does the school really think you're going to shower there? Don't sweat it (ha!). Keep your smell to yourself and simply spritz on fresh's perfume (#2). This perfume is literally the best I've ever smelled when I want something simple and not overpowering. Imagine a warm spring day walking through flowers and then coming home to warm just smells like a fresh hug in a bottle. When I'm at school I like to use the rollerball and roll it behind my ears and on my wrists.

4. Gym's over and it's after lunch. The food is gone...but the taste in your mouth isn't. Make sure you keep some kind of pack of mints or gum in your backpack at all costs. I love using Victoria's Secret peppermints (#4) because they get the job done and I'm a sucker for pretty packaging. it's happy bunny Mints are a great one too. The packaging is an extra bonus because it can silently let your friend know that they should maybe have a mint or two too. You can find both of these in stores near you!

5. But wait! The inside of my mouth is fresh, but my lips are awfully dry. I'm a huge fan of Eos lip balms (#8). Yet again the packaging is Tumblr trendy and they make my lips feel silky. My favorite is the sweet mint, just like the color the smell is minty too - making everything extra fresh.

6. My last touch up look essential is definitely Beauty Fixation Make Up Remover swabs (#1). These are incredibly useful for when your eyeliner smudges and spit quite doesn't do the trick. All you do is take a swab, snap one end, and remove any make up flaws with the now saturated end of the swab. I personally haven't used these to rid my entire eye of it's make up, but find they're a brilliant tool for touch ups. I first tried mine from Birchbox in their monthly box - but they sell them on their website for only five dollars! Um, yes please!

Taking Notes

7. My go to writing utensil when taking notes is usually just a regular old mechanical pencil, but once in awhile I like to jazz things up a bit. These quirky saying pencils are great to show off your personality. I found mine in a shop on Etsy, (#7) but I'm sure you could find these anywhere online with all different kinds of sayings that portray your quirkiness. Another great writing utensil to use is Kate Spade's pencil set and ink pen set

8. I've never used this next essential at school necessarily, but it is a lifesaver when you're getting your homework done. Saving the trees is just an added bonus that comes along with the Boogie Board LCD Writing Tablet (#9)from The Shopping Bag. It's pretty much a digital whiteboard that you can clear with a click of a button. Write friends messages with it, solve out those tough equations, or keep it at home for your to-do lists.

Hopefully your school year goes well and you strut down those hallways with all these extraordinary essentials and a boat load of confidence! Let me know what is a must have in your backpack by commenting below or tweet me @SInsideMyCloset

Monthly Goodies - Part 1

Socialbliss Style Box Review

Hello, gorgeous! Growing up, you know that the best part of leaving a party was the goodie bags. Why should getting goodie bags be limited to parties though? In my new series I'll be reviewing boxes of goodies delivered to your door each month.

So, to kick this series off I'm introducing Socialbliss' StyleBox. Fashion insiders and trendsetters at SocialBliss specially curate a special box full of the latest and greatest fashion trends and pieces that everyone has their eyes on. The best thing though? It's full size, real deal, no sample size stuff.

You're probably thinking that all this greatness comes at a cost though...and you're right. You can choose on their site to sign up for just one monthly box, three months of boxes, six months, or twelve months of boxes all in the $30 range. Honestly, the price is well worth it because I can guarantee you'll never be disappointed on what goodies are packed inside this stylish box of bliss. Plus, $30 is nothing to pay when each box is close to $100 or more in total value.
Socialbliss Style Box Review

So now that you have a little background knowledge of SocialBliss, lets dig in to the latest box that landed on my doorstep. This box's theme was summer metallics! You know I love sparkle so this made me smile. The box ensures that every look for your summer holds the look of metallics so you no longer have to wait until the holiday season.

First up from the glamorous goodies is the Metallic Melie Maven Bag. Framed with gold and sparkling with the metallic lust - this bag can actually be a clutch as well. Attached and tucked neatly inside is a gold chain that transforms it into a shoulder bag. While we're talking about the inside I might as well gush about the cute polka dot and gold metallic pattern that the inside is lined with. Adorable.

Perfect to keep inside the bag is the full size Oscar De La Renta Espirit D'Oscar Summer scent rollerball. This is a sparkling gold summer scent that I could use in one day. I'm tickled that SocialBliss introduced me to this scent because I'm definitely going to get more.

Jewels! Hot on this summer's fashion craze is body chains. Inside this box came the Bombshell Jane Body Chain Necklace. This chain can double as a body chain for your bikini or backless dress look, or as a necklace to jazz up a simple tee.

I'm excited to try and incorporate this in my next outfit along with the "Drop Of Gold" Bead Earrings that also came with the box. Simple bead earrings like this are my favorite because they can go with any outfit you're wearing.

Last in the box is an item that will brighten up your eyes and make them pop! Fit-To-Flare Lashes supplies several different fake eyelashes to enhance any make up look.

Let me know if you're going to get your hands on one of these style boxes and sign up for a box full of glamorous goodies.

Happy July, everyone! So, it's a little late in the season to just be getting your bikini body - but that doesn't mean it's too late to begin a healthy lifestyle.

Summer Breeze

The summer breeze is rolling in along with summer season clothing! That means shorts, crop tops, flip flops...everything that I longed for during this long winter.

This striped crop top from The Shopping Bag fit the bill for the perfect start to summer casual outfit for me. I liked how the sleeves were longer so it didn't compete with the main cropped part.

Although jean shorts are usually my go to bottom for outfits like this, I decided to change it up with these grey shorts from Abercrombie & Fitch. To jazz the shorts up a bit I slipped on my braided leather belt also from the always lovely Abercrombie.

And now down to a simple pair of silver Ann Taylor Loft sandals that were the perfect comfort for walking around on such a nice summer day.

I kept my jewelry simple by layering two gold necklaces from The Shopping Bag. A simple arrow and heart, and a thin gold minimalist necklace was a nice added touch for this look. I love this jewelry so much that a giveaway might just be popping up soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

The Dont's Of Summer Fashion

I've given my fair share of major don'ts for spring fashion, but now that summer has come into full have some summer fashion don'ts. From head to toe, beauty and fashion, it's time to indulge in the unglamorous sights that sneak out into public.

1. Daring To Show Your Delicates

I see London, I see France, I don't want to see your underpants! Backless dresses, tank tops, white clothing, and so much more skin start coming out to play during the summer time heat - but lets keep our undies to ourselves, yes? No matter how pretty, patterned, or bright your panties maybe, I'd rather not see what's giving you a wedgie. If you're wearing daring short shorts or even cute white shorts or skirt, turn the color volume down and keep with the basic nude or white color tones.

...but lets not forget about the upstairs. It's like a fashion horror film playing out before my eyes when I see girls wearing backless tanks or dresses...and decide to leave their bra in open view for the world to see. If nobody wants to catch a glimpse of a side-boob, no one wants to see what's covering it up either. There are millions of strapless, backless, you name it, bras out there that you can wear when your go-to bra isn't doing you justice.

2. Hair...down there?

It's time for a trim...downstairs. This don't was hard to find an example of...and I think that's because everyone pretty much agrees about it. There is no way of sugar coating this, no one wants to see whispys coming out of your bikini bottoms. Pickin' up what I'm puttin' down? Good. Trim it up, wax it off, frankly, I don't care as long as it's not in my view. That itsy bitsy teenie weenie whatever bikini is called itsby bitsy for a teenie weenie reason - it's not going to cover those overgrown wild ones trying to catch a glimpse of the summer sun.

3. Leave the buns in the bread basket
So we've talked about not showing your undies, but obviously people don't know the difference between shorts and wearing denim underwear. If your shorts are short enough to show that crescent moon of your butt cheek, it's time to invest in another pair. Do what you want with the cheeky look on the beach where you're trying to get your tan on, but out in public is not the place to see how little fabric you can get away with. Leave those baker buns and crescent rolls in the bread basket where they rightfully belong.

4. And this little piggy was a hot mess

I was glad that my toes got to see the light of day after being stuffed into boot after boot this winter, but that was before I saw the chipped winter polished toes squishing around in summer flip flops. I can understand chipped nails, whether it's a habit you can't kick or a rough day, but toe nails? It's bad enough seeing toes hanging over the edge of shoes, but to see a fully painted piggy besides a hot mess of a toe nail is nothing to prance around in the public eye.

Have a few don'ts that you want to rid the public of this summer? Instagram it, Tweet it, Facebook it, Pinterest it, whatever you like and tag me so I can see! Happy summer!

App Of The Month: Duolingo

Bonjour mes beaux amis, Hello my beautiful friends! I can't believe June has finally graced us with it's presence! I'm unbelievably excited for summer and cannot wait to show you this month's favorite app. Like always it's free, which is surprising since it literally teaches you a whole foreign language just there on your device. Yep, no going out and buying a whole foreign language lesson that you probably won't remember, Duolingo offers courses in a variety of different languages for free.

I decided to go with French since I already attain a little background knowledge on the language, and plus to me French is a very pretty language and used a lot in fashion - so why not become fashion fluent in two languages? Duolingo goes step by step teaching you the basics of the language first and then down to the nitty gritty. You can set goals for yourself to measure your success and duel against others to see who's come farther in their fluency.
So go download your language buddy and then tell me what language you decided to take up.

Au revoir!

Inspirations of Audrey

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others. For beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness, and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone." - Audrey Hepburn

I begin this post with a quote from the impeccable Audrey Hepburn as I let her Breakfast At Tiffany's style guide me in this outfit. I would usually start with speaking about the clothing of my outfit, but honestly the shoes took center stage in this one. All a girl dreams about is that one pair of heels. You know the one - with the red bottoms? Ah yes, gracing my feet are a sleek pair of black Christian Louboutins. Each step I took in these was only filled with confidence and pure bliss.

To keep everything else minimal as to focus on the shoes, I found that this black dress from Le Tote was the perfect fit. Le Tote is literally a box full of clothes and jewelry arriving at your doorstep every month. Keep what you want, send back what you don't. Simple as that.

Instead of a donut bag as in Breakfast At Tiffany's, I hold a Kate Spade black clutch. This is very spacious, zipping at the top and opening in the middle. Plus, inside is a silver chain incase you decide you want a shoulder bag. Lovely.

How could I not slip on some Tiffany & Co. black sunglasses for this outfit? Not only does the designer name the look I was going for, but the rhinestones on the sides of the shades gave the perfect amount of sparkle that every outfit needs.

What fashion icon do you dream of channeling in your next outfit?

Dress: Le Tote

Clutch: Kate  Spade
