Happy New Year!
Are you ready for 2015? I'm so excited to ring in the New Year that I decided to share what I'll be wearing so that your New Years outfit and accessories are shiny, sparkly, and full of fun so that you enter 2015 with a smile.

For me, 2015 is starting out to be all about the jewelry you have on with your outfit, so I am extremely happy about The Shopping Bag's New Year sale! Supplying you with the jewels and the confetti so you can party and shine right on into the New Year, The Shopping Bag is giving 25% off jewelry. Yay! Along with your pretty statement piece for the night, The Shopping Bag is supplying you with free confetti to throw at midnight. It's the perfect New Year's package for your glamorous plans. All you have to do is use the code NEWYEAR2015 on your jewelry order, but shop now because this sale ends 12/31 at 11:59 pm EST.

My New Year's outfit is outrageously filled to the brim with sparkle. My favorite jewelry piece in this look is the Carol Bib Necklace from The Shopping Bag. Each rhinestone catches the light to perfection, and goes perfectly with my gold sequined dress. Along with my necklace  I put on the Milana Iridescent Beaded Bracelet from The Shopping Bag. I thought this bracelet gave a fun and soft touch of color to the look with its pink shaded iridescent beads. What's better than iridescent and rhinestones? It's a double whammy in the shiny and sparkle department. Lastly, I come to my glittering Norah Drop Earrings from The Shopping Bag which matched my necklace to the T!

OK, just look at this bag. I'll give you a moment to take in it's style perfection. I've seen this bag along with phone cases like this all over the internet, so I was bound and determined that I would find it and have one to myself - which finally happened thanks to The Shopping Bag and their Luxe Perfume Bottle Clutch. Black, shiny, and giving off that Chanel N° 5 aurora it's my current prized possession. With this bag by your side, you're sure to be a stylistic show stopper.

I hope that your arrival into 2015 holds and abundance of sparkle and confetti cheer from The Shopping Bag. Happy New Year!

Here's some of my favorite pieces from The Shopping Bag that you may want to check out:

High Fashion Meets Etsy

High Fashion Meets Etsy - Step Inside My Closet Featuring: The Shopping Bag, ANNA K. Shop, DSW

Dressing it up or dressing it down, the iconic little black dress, made famous by Coco Chanel, is a forever ultimate classic piece of fashion art. A little black dress can come in all different looks, but my favorite ruffled hem little black dress this holiday season comes from the ANNA K. shop on Etsy.

The ANNA K. shop offers wide selection of clothing from dresses, tops and tees, headpieces, swimwear and more. Priding herself on developing naive, escapist, and minimalistic clothing, Keren, owner of ANNA K., has been working as a fashion designer for ten years. Her dresses are made by a "less is more" motto which is the perfect mentality to have for a perfect casual black dress that can be worn day or night.

I was drawn to this store and her clothing based on her belief that dressing should make us happy, and not be seen as a stressful everyday task. Piecing together your outfits is much like the creative process those in the art world go through. From colors, structures, patterns, and prints, it all should really come down to what pieces make you the happiest and engulfs you with confidence.

This dress from ANNA K. is definitely the prettiest thing that I would want to discover as a gift on Christmas morning. Although high fashion seems to be about everything being over the top and extraordinary, taking the perfect starting piece and dressing it up to the nines is what it's all about. I am all for minimalist clothing. It's easy, simple, and something that is easy to accessorize. I loved that structure of the dress was precise at the top, but with a flare coming from the ruffled hem. Its comfortable fit makes it the perfect dress for all those holiday and New Year parties!

Little black dresses really come to life when paired with the right accessories like my favorite walking work of art, shoes. For all of you that have had heart eyes broken over the price of studded Valentino pumps, I've got you covered. From over one thousand dollars to less than one hundred, these BCBG Paris Darron Pumps from DSW are the next best thing this holiday season. Two toned and giving off an edge with the gold studs, these pumps are more than similar, they look exactly like Valentino is gracing your feet.

Sparkle time! I spiced up this black dress with The Shopping Bag's Daphne Link Chain Necklace. So many layers of sparkle and shine gave the perfect final touch to this outfit! Plus, right now The Shopping Bag is doing a limited time 25% sale on jewelry using the discount code NEWYEARS2015...so I'd get on that if I were you because this ends December 31, 2014!

Sunday Sweets

It's the holiday season, everyone, and let's be real here - food is one of the main focuses of this season. Once December hits I know that my sweet tooth goes into over drive, so I decided to teach you guys my easy Frosty Peppermint Layered Milkshake. Lets make this a very sweet Sunday, cause trust me, this shake is extremely yummy! Be sure to check back each week as I share my favorite holiday treats during the month of December!

The recipe to this shake is incredibly simple and takes no time at all. I'll give you the recipe first and then some fun ways to spice up the appearance of the yummy treat.

Recipe:

2 Cups Vanilla Ice Cream

2 Cups Peppermint Ice Cream

1 Cup Milk Per Shake

Peppermint candies / canes for topping

Chocolate Syrup for topping (Optional)

Since this is going to be a layered milkshake prepare two separate mixtures.
I like to start off making the vanilla layer by putting my ice cream and milk into the blender. Blend that all up until a smooth milkshake consistency manifests and keep from drinking the deliciousness until the end!

The next step would be putting your peppermint ice-cream and milk into a blender and blending it until smooth.

Time to layer! Grab a glass of your choosing and pour one milkshake into the glass at a time, about half way for each milkshake.  I like to make sure that my peppermint ice cream ends up as the top layer because of the perfect holiday toppings that I have for this treat. Plus, the pink of the peppermint ice cream spreads so pretty throughout the shake, giving it a rosy holiday look.

OK, time for the fun part. While day dreaming about all the sweet things that come with the month of December, I stumbled across The Baker's Confections shop on Etsy. Their shop is a cook, baker, or party hosts' dream. I was especially excited by all of the dazzling prints, patterns, and colors that cover their straws, sprinkles, bags, cupcake liners, baking cups, and more. Yes, more!

With a line of eco-friendly baking utensils and a variety of baking tips and tricks, The Baker's Confections is even catching the eye of HGTV. With a blog, Etsy shop, and their new website filled with perfect products for all things food - it's going to be my go-to store for all my holiday parties. Someone ask you to bring a dish to a party? Make yours stand out with their products and perfect baking tips on their blog. All things are hand done by The Baker's Confections owners, Esther Holden and Shauna Osteen. It gives that extra special something to each and every product. Make sure to get your foodie goodies on their website: www.bakerspartyshop.com

Now, back to the shake! Top yours with a delicious chocolate syrup swirl, or crushed peppermint candies. I decided to give mine a festive holiday theme with The Baker's Confections Christmas Snowflake Red Paper Straws and Snowflake Sprinkles. OMG, I never liked sprinkles as a kid, but these sprinkles were so good I could put them on every sweet treat! The straws gave that perfect pinch of color to go along with the peppermint layers, and the snowflake sprinkles produced the winter wonderland theme that I was going for.

Couldn't forget the fashion! I'm wearing a cozy Olive & Oak sweater (similar) with my new favorite 360 Pearl Studs from The Shopping Bag!

Tell me in the comments what your favorite winter treat to make is and if you tried this one out!

Barbie Girl In A Moschino World

Happy Halloween! Step aside Barbie, there's a new doll in town, and she's in head to toe Moschino rocking the runway. What better way to show off the latest Moschino Barbie fashion than transform into a doll for Halloween? Yeah, I know, I'm getting a little Life-Size-Tyra-Banks on you, but I can't help it. I was one of those little girls that was obsessed with the princesses, American Girl dolls, and of course my ultimate and forever favorite - the Barbie. From dream houses to countless outfit changes, I adored the doll. So, why be just Barbie when you could be a Moschino Barbie making your debut on the Milan Fashion week runway?

When you think of Barbie you think of pink everything so, I decided to take note from Jeremy Scott and show my love for Moschino in one of my Halloween costume ideas! I'm a Barbie girl in a Moschino world! This Totally Moschino tank holds a girly vintage charm that this Barbie girl totally had to have. I was definitely thinking pink when I slipped on my Moschino graphic printed skirt.

Guess what shoes this Barbie bought? Yep, these GUESS Beilan pumps gave the shine of the outfit with the gold toe. So simple, yet so beautifully Barbie!

Time to call Teresa...but I should really touch up my make-up too...easy! This doll just had to use her Moschino pink iPhone mirror case which can get the job done. This case makes me feel like I'm in somewhat of a fantastic hi-tech fairytale that's oozing with the color pink! Guess what? As much as I hate to see it go, I'm selling this,  Paris Hilton favorite, Moschino iPhone case on my store. Get it while you can...

Applying an eye popping bright pink lipstick and an even brighter blonde hairstyle, and I think I did a pretty decent job at transforming myself into a bright eye Barbie model. Now...where's Ken?

Top: Moschino

Skirt: Moschino

Shoes: GUESS

iPhone Case: Moschino

Couture, Candy, and Confetti

Step Inside My Closet Couture, Candy and Confetti - Candy Crush, The Confetti Bar, Kate Spade, The Shopping Bag, Halloween Costume, Halloween Candy Crush Costume
It looks as if I have fallen into a magical, scrumptious, and colorful candy wonderland...and I'm not sure that I ever want to leave!  Ever since the arrival of October, I've been getting more and more into the Halloween spirit. Along with the Halloween spirit is the long list of ideas that I have for my Halloween costumes, there's just so many to choose from! ...But then it came to me, candy!

Not only was I inspired by the treat aspect of Halloween day, but this Candy Crush Halloween costume was immensely inspired by The Confetti Bar Candy Corn mix. Sparkly, candy themed, and colorful, this confetti mix can make any Halloween party (or outfit!) shine. What I like about this confetti is that it's all hand mixed. Each batch is perfect for any occasion that's coming up for you, they even offer custom mixes! Planning a Halloween party? Get in the spirit with The Confetti Bar's Halloween inspired batches. From Candy Corn to a Wicked Witch's Brew, its the perfect party accessory to throw up in the air to celebrate!

Since candy and confetti is colorful, fun, and fresh, obviously my outfit for the costume had to be top notch. My yellow Robert Rodriguez Collection dress was inspired by the good ol' fashion candy corn. A fitted top and flared bottom dress is flattering for anyone. Plus, the neckline of this dress made it super fun and easy to play up the accessories.

Obviously fun accessories are going to come from The Shopping Bag! It's literally my go-to online boutique. The collections they've been releasing lately on their site are delicious. My love for the store only grew once I found their Theresa Jeweled Collar Necklace in blue. The different shades of blue picked up every color in the outfit (and candy!) and gave that perfect sparkle to the whole ensemble.

Kate Spade to me was the obvious choice from getting a clutch for this costume. Kate Spade's quirky and colorful items are a definite must have. This Multi-Colored gemclutch looked extremely candy-esque to me. It was the perfect colorful addition to the outfit to make everything pop even more.

Shoe time! Whoa, okay, you cannot disagree that these Steve Madden shoes are literally the cutest and playful pair of pumps you've ever seen in your life. They matched perfectly with my clutch and never missed a colorful beat from heel to toe. I fell head over heels for the gem detailing, it was just dazzling!

Thinking of tagging along with me into this Candy Crush Mania costume for Halloween? Let me know in the comments below if you are or simply what you're being this year!
