Ever been sitting with that one fashionable friend in deep conversation over the fashion world and they drop a designer name you can't even pronounce in your head? No worries! My new favorite app, Speak Chic holds all the brands and pronunciations that you could ever dream about. Simply find the designer you want and click play on the pronunciation. Bam, you know how to say that one italian or french designer that has so many accents in the name that you can't count them on your fingers! The app also gives you the 15 essential fashion pronunciations that you need to know! You can also click to read some of the designers and brands back stories, to gain that extra mile of fashion knowledge!

2013 American Music Awards Fashion Review

Did you all catch the American Music Awards yesterday? So many different fashions, awards received and lovely spectacular performances. From Miley with her lip sinking Kitty, Katy channeling her inner geisha, and One Direction making my heart melt, it was overall a grand night. But enough with the voices, lets dig in to the fashions shall we?

1. Miley Cyrus

Sporting a Verus Versace white suit, she keeps it simple and bare underneath. Along with her suit she struts in simple black heels. At least there's no more latex, right?

2. Taylor Swift

I was surprised to see Taylor Swift in something other than her romance, frothy, Romeo & Juliet type dresses but a metallic gold mini. Taylor's dress played as a simile to all the awards she won - coming out as country's golden girl.

3. Lady Gaga
The italian pop princess, Lady Gaga, made her grand entrance wearing a light lavender Versace dress upon...a white horse. To me, Lady Gaga looks like something out of a mystical Taylor Swift music video.

4. Heidi Klum
"You're either in or out," I can recall Heidi saying on Project Runway. I'm sorry, Heidi, but you're out. Either you literally loved that dress, or a paper shredder caught you on the way out the door.

5. One Direction
Winning every award they were up for, One Direction came in looking like a fierce grey and black color coordinated boy band. I love it. Whilst we're on the topic, have you got your copy of Midnight Memories that came out today? No? Go. Now.

There were plenty more fashions to spectacle over, but for now I'm simply waiting for the next award show. Hope your week is starting out lovely.

November's Favorites

With the chill in the air, cheery music playing, and sparkly new products making their debut - it must mean that the holidays are just around the corner. As soon as I saw that one radio station completely dedicated to Christmas songs, my wish list for Christmas day began springing into my head. So, with that I decided to create my monthly favorites - from what I have and what I'm currently ooooing and awing over.

1. Kate Spade 'Eat Cake For Breakfast' Journal: If you haven't seen my new Eat Cake For Breakfast bag, then you wouldn't know my current obsession with this phrase. I was delighted to receive this fun journal, with simple gold letters telling me to eat cake for breakfast. The inside front cover is filled with gold polka dots and then hundreds of lined sheets of paper waiting for me to unload my mind of it's thoughts.

2. lights, camera, flashes Tarte Mascara: This mascara entered my life through one of my lovely Birchbox arrivals. The fun gold casing catches your eye, but the mascara makes your eyes look camera ready - lights, camera, flashes!

3. J. Crew Metallic Glitter Belt: The perfect touch to an outfit in desperate need of some...shazam!

4. Butter London The 444 Nail Lacquer: I'm definitely the kind of girl who goes gaga over nails. Your nail polish is basically just another accessory to boost up your outfit. The color of this polish is gorgeous, it looks like the bubbly champagne glasses clinking together on New Years. That and a bit of sparkle, which is an added plus for anything.

5. 'Dress To Impress' Kate Spade Shirt: Is there anything that I need to say about this shirt other than OMG? I love these kinds of shirts that are so simple, but make your heart flutter at the first site of it. For any fashionista, this is basically our motto. Number one on my wish list for sure!

6. Harrison Striped Phone Case from Kate Spade: I have an odd obsession of changing up my phone case a lot more often than I should. Seeing all the cute phone cases from Kate Spade like this one certainly doesn't help my obsession. It's just another reason to take out your phone - to admire your glitzy case!

7. The Shopping Bag's 'Ann Crystal Bib Necklace': Not only did the name of the necklace make me adore it, but the crystals and simplicity of the necklace snatched up my heart. This is the perfect necklace for your holiday parties, and the one necklace everyone will be talking about. Your whole outfit should revolve around this lovely piece. Plus, an added bonus is the necklace is only $30!

8. Brian Lichtenberg Feline Beanie: I've seen these beanies all over Tumblr and on popular celebrities, which makes my longing to get one in my hands even stronger. So quirky and cute, I love it.

9. Prada Candy Perfume: This perfume is just like it's title, sweet like candy. I like to compare the scent to a hard candy, sweet on the outside, but once you break it open it evolves into a delicate and elegant smelling perfume. Lovely!

Eat Cake For Breakfast

Can you imagine a world where it would be socially acceptable to simply just eat cake for breakfast? Once I got my new Kate Spade bag telling me to do so, I thought why not? You only live once right?

That means to make everyday your fashion show, and I enjoy the thought of that. So today I focused on a fall prep fashion show revolving around my new black Franco Sarto heel shoes. These shoes make me feel a bit European if that makes any sense. They just remind me of something you'd see someone wearing in the streets of London or Paris. For a bit of color for this outfit I put on my eggplant knee socks. I love knee socks, and especially since it's the perfect time in fall to wear them.

J. Crew dominated this outfit with my simple black skirt and warm navy sweater. A sweater like this is a closet staple. It can be jazzed up or played down, and always looks classic and cute. I ventured on the route to jazz up my sweater by putting a jean Abercrombie & Fitch button down underneath, having bits of it peaking out. Jean tops seem to be really in this year, which I was wary of at first, but Abercrombie does a good job at making me adore things.

My jewelry I kept minimal and silver, sporting a Michael Kors buckle ring which is absolutely fabulous in my eyes. It's so simple but chic. My earrings came from Anne Klein, yet another simple piece of jewelry. Silver hoops are a jewelry staple, you could basically put them on with most of everything.

Kate Spade says live colorfully, and I love how this Eat Cake For Breakfast bag has that bold stripe of red at the bottom causing eye catching glances at the beautiful tote. The inside is lined so pretty with a light gold color and white stripes. I was surprised at how deep the bag really is, fitting any necessities that you have to carry. I also adore how the sides of the bag have a pinched look, and how bold the wording. All throughout the day people would read it and laugh, 'cause who eats cake for breakfast? ...psh, definitely not me...

A lovely day spent well with my cute doggie, Meg. What a sweetheart!

Little Black Dress

As Karl Lagerfeld said, "One is never over-dressed or under-dressed with a Little Black Dress." I took this quote into consideration when choosing my outfit for a dance full of wonderful memories to remember.
The main attraction of this outfit was obviously the simple black dress from Allison Parris. I love the tutu aspect of this dress because it gives the little black dress a fun flair. Accessories were my favorite part of this outfit...as they say, diamonds are a girls best friend. My bracelet came from Lulu Frost and I absolutely adore it. It was perfect underneath the lights, and caught the eye of many. Since I decided to toss my hair to the side, my vintage earrings from Ciner had the perfect spotlight for the night. I loved how the bracelet and the earrings really went together, and didn't take away from the dress.  Of course, my favorite thing in the world...shoes! My feminine black lace heels came from Nine West. These heels were the perfect height and had the perfect look for the dress. My crown clutch made me feel like a queen from Serpui Marie. It was easy to open and the fringed handle made it easy to carry throughout the night. I adored the black crowns on top of it too, how royal. I've been longing to blog lately, but have been engulfed by an incredibly busy schedule. However, now it's time to dive into some fun fall favorites as we enter the chilly seasons, my favorite! Hopefully you get all dolled up soon and pull out your little black dress.
