Inspirations of Audrey

"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others. For beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness, and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone." - Audrey Hepburn

I begin this post with a quote from the impeccable Audrey Hepburn as I let her Breakfast At Tiffany's style guide me in this outfit. I would usually start with speaking about the clothing of my outfit, but honestly the shoes took center stage in this one. All a girl dreams about is that one pair of heels. You know the one - with the red bottoms? Ah yes, gracing my feet are a sleek pair of black Christian Louboutins. Each step I took in these was only filled with confidence and pure bliss.

To keep everything else minimal as to focus on the shoes, I found that this black dress from Le Tote was the perfect fit. Le Tote is literally a box full of clothes and jewelry arriving at your doorstep every month. Keep what you want, send back what you don't. Simple as that.

Instead of a donut bag as in Breakfast At Tiffany's, I hold a Kate Spade black clutch. This is very spacious, zipping at the top and opening in the middle. Plus, inside is a silver chain incase you decide you want a shoulder bag. Lovely.

How could I not slip on some Tiffany & Co. black sunglasses for this outfit? Not only does the designer name the look I was going for, but the rhinestones on the sides of the shades gave the perfect amount of sparkle that every outfit needs.

What fashion icon do you dream of channeling in your next outfit?

A Night Colored Rosé

What better way to spend a formal spring night dance than with a dress colored rosé? Simple and light, this spring time spirited Reem Acra gown had me feeling like a complete princess all night. To make this dress even more lovely and unique, I decided to add a precious rhinestone ribbon belt around my waist to give this princess some sparkle. The way the bow in the back seamlessly trailed down the back along with the tule as I walked made each step even more elegant. My Badgley Mischka Taylar Embellished Evening Shoes hidden underneath all the glamour had just the perfect fit and height to make the dress skim the dance floor.

Sparkling under the lights was my Tom Binns crystal bib necklace that made my heart skip a beat at first sight. I love necklaces that are on the heavier side since they keep themselves in place for the whole night. Last worn in my Little Black Dress post, these timeless teardrop Ciner earrings were the perfect drop of crystal to go with the necklace. Speaking of the perfect type of crystal, my Courtney Lee ring was a delightful splash of sparkle to show off while holding my blush Serpui Marie clutch. The clutch was the perfect side to hold all the girly essentials for touch ups throughout the night.

I decided to go with a simple bun for my hair, but added a bit more sparkle (I couldn't resist!) with The Shopping Bag's Crystal Bow Brooch. I find some look over pins and brooches to put in hair, when actually I think they're much easier to slip in to whatever lovely 'do you've put your hair in.

The fun of the night and the sparkle of the whole outfit left me tickled...rosé.

App Of The Month: Mani Diaries

Happy May everyone! Can you believe spring is here and in a few weeks summer will begin? Luckily that means that new vibrant bright colors are coming out to play, not only for outfits, but for your nails as well. Whenever I get super motivated to do my nails I'm always left with the feeling of dissatisfaction when I realize I have no idea what creative designs I can swipe on. So I went hunting for nail ideas...and ta da! I came across the app Mani Diaries, chock full of all the inspiration and nail tips at my finger tips. You can admire others nail designs, 'keep' nail ideas you'll need to remember, and even search for what your nail inspiration has to revolve around. But the best part is that after you've skillfully applied your mani / pedi (even if you went to the salon!) you can post a pic for others to ooo and awe over.

I highly suggest you get this free app and follow me so I can check out all your new nail designs...but only after you mani is dry of course!
