Runaway From Procrastination

Welcome to the first Monday of 2016! Motivation is running strong for a lot of people in the world right now. From getting hyped up to work out, organize, eat better, or just get things done and accomplished. There's nothing like that feeling at the end of the day when you know - even if it was just one thing - that you did something that benefited the person you are today and the person you will be tomorrow. 

But this cold weather is not jiving with my plans of running errands - but this sweater sure helps! This mock turtleneck Runaway sweater from Townsen is so comfy and thick - perfect for a gal who despises the cold. The script on the front is super cute and completely goes with the somewhat dulling task of running errands.

Paired with my go-to black skinny jeans, I slipped on what seems to be my go-to pair of black booties for the winter season. This sherpa pair of black booties from Forever 21 are always landing on my feet. They're super thick and comfortable, and just big enough that I can hide some serious fuzzy socks that adorn my feet!

Backpacks are not just for school. Oh no, they are perfect for when you're running around town too! This cute Black Quilted Backpack Purse hails from The Shopping Bag - the mecca of adorable purses, clutches, jewelry, clothing, and a whole lot more. The quilted texture and the gold toned link chain straps coordinate so well with this outfit! Not the mention this bag can hold a whole lot of stuff!

But if you accomplish nothing one day, at least try to accomplish a well lit selfie! I was tickled when I got this illuminated iPhone case from Lumee. The front of the case lights up with a click of a button so all my selfies are picture perfect when it comes to lighting!

Stepping Into Shoe Trends

Happy Monday! It's time to walk into this week with confidence, which is why I'm stepping into fall / winter shoe trends. What's a better time to snatch up some of these amazing shoes at such great prices too? Holidays, anyone? Without further ado - let's get talking about my ultimate fashion obsession - shoes.

1. The Shopping Bag / Crossing Point Lace-Up Ballet Flats / $45

Lace up shoes are definitely a trend thats been seen in runway after runway show for fall 2015. From lace up boots, heels, and booties, they've even made their way onto the simplistic ballet flat. This pair from The Shopping Bag is only $45 - steal! It's totally a luxe for less. 

2. Diane von Furstenberg / Monica Boot / $250+

As much as I love DVF, I love her boots. ...So, I love them a whole bunch! These minimalist block heeled booties don't necessarily scream DVF when you first see them due to the fact that they don't hold bold patterns and colors, but their simplisticness is something I adore. For me, instead of Diane's saying of "Love is life and life is love..." I say that, "Love is shoes and shoes are love..."

3. Mango Outlet / Fur Heel Shoes / $79.99

Fur! I've never been one to really fancy fur products. It's not because I'm completely against it, but I've never been one to completely ooo and awe over a solid fur vest or fuzzy shoes....that is until I find something furry and fashionable that I really like. These fur heel shoes from Mango Outlet almost look like a loafer from the front, which is another fall trend alongside the block heel. 

4. Sam Edelman / Dora Pointy Toe Slingback Pumps / $79.90

Slingbacks are...well, back. As much as we all are itching for a pair of classic Chanel slingbacks, our wallets are unfortunately not. This season is all about a modern slingback, and this leopard printed pair from Sam Edelman screams modern with a little bit of va va voom. Plus, I'm a sucker for a pointed toe. 

5. Forever 21 / Faux Suede Over The Knee Boots / $44.90

OTK boots are SO in right now. You've probably seen them just about everywhere, maybe even on me in my Halloween post. I guess the taller the boot, the sexier you feel, and this pair of faux suede OTK boots from Forever 21 is the closest luxe for less item compared to what all the celebs are wearing.

"A" Walk In The Park

If you keep up with my outfit posts, you know that I frequently profess my love for minimalistic and simplistic jewelry (although, I love a good statement piece from time to time). I've also always been the type to be drawn to initial or custom jewelry that's a wear all the time with any outfit sort of piece. To make the necklace the center of attention, I decided to adorn myself in my favorite simple fall attire. I love fall fashion (along with the rest of the female population) and am so happy to have sweater and jacket weather back again. One of my new favorite cozy fall jackets is this quilted faux leather vest jacket from C&C California. The sleeves of this jacket are so cozy I felt like I was wear my pajamas, but the quilted faux leather vest elevates the jacket to be something more. I love simple pieces like this that are easy to throw on with a simple tee like my Forever 21 Scoop Back black top. It's also the return of the leggings, but I wanted to spice things up a little and try out my new grey and black faux leather striped leggings from Abercrombie. The faux leather panel on the side of the leggings is an instant match to my jacket, which helps in tying this whole tough equestrian vibe outfit together!

OK, honestly, the best part about the return of fall fashion to me is shoes. Booties! Boots. Booties! Yes, I hope you can already tell that I love boots and booties. These stellar canvas grey booties from Theyskens' Theory are to die for. The small heel satisfies my petite height, and the simplistic structure of the boot feeds my minimalist style obsession. Long story short, I love these boots and I love booties. And fall. And the HL Collection.

Spread The Sparkle | Week 4

 

Whoa. It's already the last week of Spread The Sparkle! This month has flown by, and I have enjoyed every bit of spreading the sparkle to you all throughout the month! Plus, I even received the classic Winking Eye top! Yes, yes, its safe to say that my birthday was more than I could ever fathom. It was spectacular.

Amongst the favorites in the polaroids is also this stunner necklace from The Shopping Bag. I love a necklace with some weight on it, it just makes you feel important, you know? The grand rhinestones dazzle with their sparkle and the dark navy pearl strands makes this an over the top perfect statement necklace.

Along with my scoop back black top (which I have been wearing everywhere lately), I'm also obsessed with this black Prada belt. It's just a classic, so chic!
