Rolling Into The New Year

Step Inside My Closet - Rolling Into The New Year - Badgley Mischka, Essie, Kate Spade, lucky, outfit ideas, Parker New York, The Shopping Bag,
Happy New Year's Eve ... and Happy New Year! I cannot believe that we are rolling into 2016 already  - but I can't wait to see what it has in store. This year has been crazy, but I am thankful for the
help in making Step Inside My Closet grow from just the beginning of 2015. The sparkle was certainly spread throughout the year...and now is not the time to quit!

For my New Year's attire I'm hitting up the bold and the sequined! This lovely little red sequined Parker dress is nothing else but an absolute eye catcher. The plunging front and back give a little va va, and the vibrant red coloring gives it its voom

I couldn't help but ring in the New Year in head to toe sparkle, so I added my trusty Badgley Mischka grey rhinestone strappy heels into the mix. Their comfort helps secure me on my feet until the ball drops, and the stiletto heel makes this 5'2 gal add a little height to her look!

Accessories! This clutch is the pin point story line of this post due to the small little trains that grace the top of it. Get it, yet? We're rolling into the new year! Ha... (Stopping bad and lame jokes is not one of my New Year's resolutions BTW...and never will be, I can't help it.) Kate Spade sure knows how to make a glittering clutch too - they know how to make a girl sparkle and shine!

Speaking of shining...get a load of these jaw dropping rhinestone earrings from The Shopping Bag! These Naomi Teardrop Jewel Earrings stun from top to bottom - and catch all the sparkle that erupts on New Year's Eve! Not to mention they add a ton of elegance to this party outfit!

As we head into 2016 I am fraying from making resolutions, but rather promises to myself. Resolutions are things that you must do or do not do, but a promise is a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing. Do not limit yourself, but rather promise yourself things that will make your 2016 happy and sweet. It is the sweet sixteen after all!

Happy New Years! Xo.

Holiday Sparkle Style Needs

Step Inside My Closet - Holiday Sparkle Style Needs - The Shopping Bag, Badgley Mischka, Urban Decay, lucky, outfit ideas, beauty obsessions,

Less than 12 days until Christmas? Wait, what? Where did the time go?! That means holiday parties are still in full swing. Whether it's Christmas or New Years here are some of my go-to tips to keep my holiday outfits stylish and sparkling!

You can never go wrong with a statement necklace. It's the perfect and easiest way to add sparkle and boldness to your outfit. They complement your outfit and make the eyes draw to your face, where everyone will look after they pay attention to your perfect holiday style. One of my favorite statement necklace for the holiday season is the Victoria Crystal Bib Necklace from The Shopping Bag. I love the black ribbon and how it adds an elegant bow touch from the back while the front gives off endless amount of shining gemstones to make me sparkle!

You know me, I love a good heel. I especially love a heel that doesn't falter when it comes to the rhinestone or sequin department. I've worn these strappy Badgley Mischka rhinestone heels once in a post before and have been wearing them to parties ever since due to their comfort and sparkling appearance!

Sparkle shouldn't stop just at your outfit. With a good outfit should come good accessories and good make-up. It's that last final touch that can make or break your look. I have been obsessed with this Naked Smoky Eye Palette from Urban Decay. The colors on the palette supply you with all you need for the perfect smoky eye. With any smoky eye I like to add the color Armor because it disperses just a hint of glitter onto your eyelids, lighting your eyes up!

Whether you're just carrying your phone or go-to purse essentials, it's important to always have a clutch with you to add to your look. So, why not make it sparkle too? Whether it's just a hint or a whole lot - there's no doubt that a clutch can make a major statement. I recently just carried this Gem Encrusted Box Clutch from The Shopping Bag in my Fur Baby post and was so tickled that so many of you liked it! If you want to nab it for your last holiday party rounds, use the could SINSIDEMYCLOSET at The Shopping Bag for 20% off!

How do you plan to make your holiday sparkle? Comment and let me know!

Step Inside My Closet, Waldorf Astoria Chicago, Badgley Mischka, The Shopping Bag, Damsel In Dior, eDrop Off, Corri McFadden, Simply Stylist Chicago, RVN, Fiat, Bloomingdale's, YSL,

Whoa. It's August already?! I feel like I'm always so surprised that a new month is here every time one rolls around, but I honestly feel like time is just flying by lately. Especially with the back to school season here...it seems like summer is coming to an incredibly quick close. But! Before I begin, I want to reflect on this hot (and humid. and rainy.) month of July through Instagram snapshots!

1. Waldorf Wardrobe! This post is a coming close to being one of my favorite outfit post on my blog. But yet again, I feel like I say that whenever I post a new outfit post. With so many clothing combinations - who could ever have a favorite?

2. Robe up! Whenever I get to a hotel I search for the robes. They're just so nice to lounge around in, and seeing this sunset over Chicago from my terrace at the Waldorf made that day so simply sweet!

3. City views and statement earrings. This post made me fall in love all over again with these statement earrings from The Shopping Bag. The gold fringe on the bottom moved with every step I took which made them so lively and lovely!

4. Nice to meet ya! I was to incredibly tickled pink to meet Corri McFadden from eDrop Off and Jacey Duprie from Damsel In Dior at the Simply Stylist Conference in Chicago. They were so lovely and made me feel even more inspired than I was before.

5. The ultimate #OOTD. Going to a fashion and style conference definitely made me want to up my game in the outfit of the day department. I love this set from RVN that's so minimalist and chic. Love!

6. Beep Beep! I couldn't help but share my excitement on my Instagram when I drove home in my new Fiat 5X 2016! Yeah, 2016! I'm a sucker for black cars, and this one definitely stole my heart.

7. Meet me in the beauty department! When a girl is on Michigan Ave., you know very well that you're going to see her trot into Bloomingdales. The beauty department was insanely amazing (shoutout to Heather at the YSL Beauty department - she's such a lovely person, and her knowledge for makeup is fascinating.) You can definitely bet I left with quite a few Little, Medium, and Big Brown Bags!

Waldorf Wardrobe

Step Inside My Closet: Waldorf Wardrobe - Waldorf Astoria, Chicago, outfit post, glamorous outfit post, badgley mischika, nine west, the shopping bag, yves saint laurent, outfit photography, hotels in chicago

Welcome to a new week everyone! Mondays are always so refreshing to me - like the past week has somehow disappeared and a fresh new start has manifested itself. Fresh starts also come about in new
cities or in the case of this post - a new hotel! What makes you feel like you have a fresh start? I feel everyday should be seen as a crisp new day to not dwell on yesterday's disappointments, but focus on the successes that further fuel one's drive to pursue their passions in life. I feel that way, but it's easier said than done, am I right?

I had a major Gossip Girl moment while staying at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago (Hello, Blair Waldorf anyone?). Pulling up to the Waldorf was like arriving at an English manor placed in the middle of a bustling city. It was magical. The decor was so up my alley. The minimalist, clean, fresh, and modern with a historic twist appearance of the whole hotel inside and out could make anyone that stepped foot within the revolving doors feel like absolute royalty. I felt so prim and proper, which is why this whimsical outfit was my first go-to as I explored this windy city wonder.

Badgley Mischka clothing is what I dream about. From shoes, to skirts, to dresses, to swimwear, it's all just so pretty. Their bridal collection makes me want to get married on the spot every time I see it. This matching top and full skirt set is the prettiest shade of purple and so very Taylor Swift BTS (Before The Sass). Circa "We Are Never Getting Back Together" single.

This set was very intricately detailed with its pattern, so I wanted to keep my accessories and shoes as a minimum eye catcher. That was a little hard seeming that this pair of gorgeous Astoria Crystal Studs from The Shopping Bag are so feminine and lovely. The sparkle they added to this outfit was just enough, and it was a touch that made me feel like I was ready to go to any garden party being held at exactly that moment. I loved how they matched the chandelier in the lobby of the hotel. Did you know the chandelier was modeled after Coco Chanel's brooch? ...And you wonder why I could not love this hotel more?!

I've noticed that these sort of minimalistic strappy heels are all the rage now, so when I saw this nude pair from Nine West, I instantly had to snatch them up! I'm on the hunt for a really good pair of classic nude heels, a forever pair, you know? If you have a good brand that I could get them at, please tweet me @SInsideMyCloset with your suggestions!

I wanted to keep my make up to a minimum as well, so I went with my trusty and life long favorite YSL products - especially my new lipstick which I just happened to pick up from Bloomingdale's in Chicago!

Before I say farewell, I just want to have a little LOL moment at my windy skirt pictures. Literally, I felt like Marilyn Monroe... Waldorf style. I can't pull off her flawless face though, as the windy city really brought the wind!

See you Thursday!
