I've never really liked Halloween. I'm not a fan of the color orange, would rather have a cute outfit than a legit costume, and prefer to just buy candy I actually like. It's not that I'm a pessimist, I like some parts of October that have to do with Halloween - like cute sweaters and conjuring up a new look for the fall season.
This super adorable light wool skull sweater is from Saks Off 5th. Ah, the luxury of a Saks without the exact Saks price. I love the silver skull embellishments on this sweater, it gives a hint of that spooky glam aspect of Halloween thats preferable. Plus, stylish sweaters like this are so easy to throw on with my basic skinny jeans. It's the same basic pieces, but a totally different look everyday.
SHOES! I can't limit myself to no OMG's in this section because I literally die when I see these black tie flats, so to actually have them...it's a total OMG moment. This exact pair is from Zara, but millions of shoe brands and retailers have at least a version of this flat in stock. All I can really describe them as is ballerina gone totally chic. (Yes, you will see me wearing these probably 24/7).
To add attention to the silver in my sweater, I decided to paint my nails this frosty silver color from Revlon in color Spun Sugar. With just two coats I definitely felt that the love was on, ha...
Oh, right, I also (almost) pulled a 2007 Britney and cut my hair for a fresh fall look. Right now, this completely blunt short style is very on trend in the hair world. I got my inspiration from Cat Wennekamp who is currently on the House of DVF on E! I am such a fan of her's and the show, DVF is a fashion icon filled with wisdom that comes out in every episode.
So, instead of spicing up your latte (hello, PSL!) during the fall, how do you spice up your look? Let me know in the comments below!
