Refreshing Lemon Ginger Drink Recipe

I decided to deem this weekend a summer spa weekend. What perfect way to kick it off then with a yummy and healthy summer drink? This refreshing lemon ginger drink can be served cold or hot and is now my favorite summer drink. It's a very versatile drink because you can make it however you want it, meaning it's not a strict recipe to follow. If you want more ginger, go for it, more honey (which I enjoy), or more lemon for a zest. 


2 teaspoons of raw honey

2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 teaspoon of finely grated ginger

3 cups of hot water

First get your water in the tea pot and on the stove heating. Then, get your ingredients together, grate the ginger, and before cutting the lemon to squeeze, make sure to roll it so you can get all the lemon juice out. Squeeze the juice in a pitcher for your drink, and then add your grated ginger. After that, squeeze your honey into the pitcher also. Pour your hot water into the pitcher when it's hot enough. Stir your yummy drink and let sit. The longer you let the drink sit, the more flavor you can taste in the drink. Pour over ice or keep warm. Feel free to add more or less of any of the ingredients, to make this drink unique to you!
